Fernando Kylas is a registered sole trader, so the person named above is personally responsible for the information described here. There is no company standing between you and me.

What the enquiry form collects
I use this to reply to you and to judge whether the work is a fit. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.

How long it is kept
36 months, after which the enquiry and everything sent with it is deleted.
That period runs whether or not an engagement follows. If one does, correspondence that forms part of the client record is kept for as long as the relationship and any legal or tax obligation require, and the 36 months runs from the end of that.
You can ask for yours to be deleted sooner.
Who else handles it
An enquiry passes through three hands on its way to me, and stops in one. Nobody else receives any of it.
WOHO Forms
Runs the enquiry form and passes submissions on without keeping a copy. It also counts how often the form is viewed, so it sees the IP address of anyone who opens this page — not only those who write to me.
Brevo
Delivers the submission to me as an email. European Union.
Google Workspace
My email. This is the only place an enquiry comes to rest, and where the 36 months above is counted.
Hetzner Online GmbH
Website hosting, in Germany. Their server logs record the IP address and technical details of each request.
Google Analytics
Anonymous usage statistics, and only if you accept. Ireland and the United States.
What is stored on your device
This site sets no cookies at all unless you choose something that needs one. Decline analytics and the tracking code is never loaded, rather than loaded and told to stay quiet. To change your mind, clear this site’s cookies and you will be asked again.
Your appearance choice
Written only if you switch between light and dark. Local storage rather than a cookie, kept until you clear this site’s data.
Your answer about analytics
A cookie, kept for a year, so you are not asked again. Set only when you answer.
Google Analytics
Cookies set by Google, kept up to two years. Only if you accept.
Your rights
Under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 you can ask to see the information held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, object to how it is used, or ask that its use be restricted.
Email thatsme@fernandokylas.com and I will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Office, Mauritius.
